We are pleased to announce that founder, Wen Xie, will be an adjunct professor at George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School for the Fall 2026 semester.
This fall, she will teach a new writing-intensive course titled Patent Drafting with AI. The course will examine the use of generative AI in patent drafting, with a focus on issue-spotting, attorney oversight, and the role of human logic in modern legal practice.
The curriculum is built around the S-C-O-P-E™ method, the firm’s framework for evaluating and guiding AI-assisted patent drafting. Designed for the evolving technological era of legal practice, the course will help students consider not only how patent applications are drafted, but how legal professionals identify objectives, set priorities, and exercise judgment when using AI tools.
We look forward to this opportunity to contribute to the next generation of patent attorneys and to continue advancing thoughtful, practical, and logic-driven approaches to generative AI in intellectual property law.
